Different Types of Money Plants You Might Not Know
1. Jade Plant
The most popular money plant most of us are familiar with is Crassula Ovata, also known as Jade Plant or money tree. Jade plants are versatile that can be grown indoors or outdoors. It is often seen at the entrance of houses or Chinese Restaurants as a Feng Shui enhancer to attract wealth luck.
Due to the small size, it has been one of the favorite lucky plants to be placed on their desktop in the workspace. Besides its auspicious significance, it also helps to purify the air and create a lively environment for work.
2. Golden Pothos
Golden Pothos, also known as Devil’s Ivy is one of the favorite plants people choose to bring into their living or working space. It has large green leaves that resemble dollar bills and that is why people believed that it brings good luck and wealth.
Besides that, it is also very easy to care for but it is more suitable for indoors. It can be placed in front of a poison arrow (Sha Qi), like a sharp corner to reduce the negative energy. You can also place it on top of the cabinets that usually accumulate stagnant energy to encourage positive ones instead.
3. Chinese Money Plant (Pilea Peperomioides)
As the name implied, it originates from China and is well known for bringing wealth and prosperity to its owner. Its large green coin-liked leaves resemble money growing on the plant, making it named the Chinese Money Plant.
It is a plant that is easy to take care of and that makes it an ideal indoor house plant. It prefers bright and indirect light. Avoid excessive direct sunlight because it can scorch the leaves.
4. Gemstone / Crystal Tree
Besides the natural green plants mentioned above, there is another type of artificial money plant that is made out of gemstones. They are typically shaped like a bonsai and the “leaves” are crafted with different types of crystals. The most commonly used are purple amethyst, citrine, and even combinations of various stones.
The concept of this gemstone money plant is to leverage the power of crystals to promote wealth luck for its owners. They are most suited to be located in the wealth location of the house.
